Here are some recommended activities: For those interested in Xinjiang’s culture and history, visit the [Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Museum] (closed Mondays / last admission at 4:30 PM daily); If you’d like to experience the charm of the Western Regions, head to the [Xinjiang International Bazaar]; if you’d like to see how ordinary Urumqi residents spend their free time, visit Urumqi’s landmark, [Hongshan Park]. Once your free time is over, you’ll naturally want to indulge in Xinjiang’s specialty dishes in this culinary paradise. D2Day 2: Urumqi – Through the Tianshan Tunnel – Lop people’s village (Taklamakan Desert / Tarim River / Millennium Poplar Forest / Goddess Lake / – Ancient Ethnic Group) – Korla [Approx. 500 km, approx. 7.5 hours without traffic]
Suggested Hotels: Aishang / Licheng Baihe / Bositen Grand Hotel / Derui Xuelian / Jinjiang Metropolis / Xian / Landu / Yinxing / Modern Four Seasons / Vienna / Orange Hotel / Licheng Garden or similar (specific hotels and room types cannot be requested)

➤ 07:30–08:30: The driver will begin picking up fellow travelers within the city.
➤ 08:30–13:30: Depart for Korla City, passing by the [“Chinese Dead Sea”—Xinjiang Salt Lake], [Chaiwobao Lake], [Dabancheng Wind Farm], and [Tianshan Tunnel]. These are roadside sights—we won’t enter them—but the windmills lining the road offer a stunning view. Lunch is on your own during the trip.
➤13:30–18:30 [Lop people’s village], a “desert utopia” on the edge of the Taklamakan Desert! This is Xinjiang’s wildest corner—a paradise blending deserts, poplar trees, lakes, camels, and ancient tribes! No concrete jungles here, just the most pristine romance of the Western Regions.
The Taklamakan “Puts on the Brakes” Here
At the edge of the world’s second-largest shifting desert, golden sand dunes resemble frozen waves; every snapshot captures the cinematic vibe of *Lawrence of Arabia*.
The “Millennium-Old” Poplar Forest
The millennium-old poplar trees here collectively “give up,” their twisted trunks resembling an art exhibition sculpted by desert winds—dark and awe-inspiring.
“Blue Tears” in the Desert
A miraculous lake suddenly appears in the middle of the sea of sand, with canoes hidden among the reeds; for a moment, you might think you’ve stumbled into a desert version of *Little Forest*.
The Lop people: The Last “Desert Natives”
They are Xinjiang’s most mysterious group—living in tamarisk huts, eating grilled fish, and building boats from poplar wood. With a smile, they’ll tell you, “The sand here is more addictive than Wi-Fi.”
Here, you can ride camels, take a dune buggy ride, and more. (Only shuttle bus transportation is included; personal recreational activities within the scenic area are at your own expense.) Lunch is on your own during this time.
➤ 18:30–20:30 Drive to [Korla], check in, and enjoy Xinjiang cuisine on your own in the evening! As the evening breeze carries the scent of fragrant pears, blend your fragmented memories of snow-capped mountains, lakes, and deserts into the yogurt-stuffed rice dumplings at the night market. You may also visit [Peacock River] on your own to see the night views. The Korla Peacock River basin is vast and is a rare river system without tributaries; it is also the main river flowing through Korla City. The urban parks built along the river make the most of the water scenery, and combined with lush greenery, the Peacock River Scenic Tourism Belt has become a favorite spot for the people of the “Pear City” to relax and enjoy the cool breeze.

Friendly Reminders:
1. Seat belts save lives! Please maintain good driving habits and keep your seat belt fastened at all times! Road conditions today are excellent, but speed limits are strictly enforced—be prepared for occasional slow-moving traffic;

4. Essential sun protection: UV rays are extremely strong! Sunglasses, a face scarf, and high-SPF sunscreen are must-haves. Don’t forget the three-piece physical sun protection set for the lakeside—otherwise, you’ll turn bright red in an instant.

The canyon’s winding paths lead to secluded spots, the mountains take on a myriad of forms, peaks pierce the sky, and there are ravines within ravines and valleys within valleys. Highlights include Heroes’ Square, Tongshou Valley, Heroes’ Valley, and the “Tower Bamboo Reaching the Sky” summit observation deck. It is a crimson hidden realm carved by nature through wind and water. “Kezilia” means “red cliffs.” As you step inside, the reddish-brown and ochre-red rock walls appear as if solidified flames, casting a play of light and shadow in varying shades under the sunlight—as if you’ve stumbled into a fantastical castle from a fairy tale. The canyon path winds and twists, with cliff faces covered in honeycomb-like grooves formed by wind erosion and distinct layered folds—every snapshot you take is a breathtaking masterpiece. As you venture deeper, look up to behold the “Skyline” spectacle: sunlight pours down through a narrow crevice in the cliff face, illuminating the fine gravel at the valley floor and creating a serene and sacred atmosphere.
➤ 14:00–17:00 Drive to [Fiery Springs]. Lunch is on your own along the way. Welcome to the real-life “Flame Mountain”!

Why come here?

➤ 15:00–17:00 [Ancient City of Yutian] (evening performance not included)—the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Yutian, one of the Thirty-Six Kingdoms of the Western Regions. Under the influence of Han and Tang civilizations, Hotan—a major stronghold of the Western Regions—became a strategic hub on the Southern Route of the Silk Road. For a time, merchants in fine brocades, monks earnestly seeking Buddhist teachings, and soldiers hoping to distinguish themselves in battle arrived in succession, filling this once-quiet land with a bustling throng. Rare treasures converged here, and Eastern and Western cultures collided and blended, ushering in the most glorious and brilliant period in Hotan’s history. However, all of this has now been buried beneath a vast sea of sand
➤ 17:30 After checking in at the hotel, you may rest for a while
➤ 19:00–21:00 Explore the [Hotan Night Market] at your leisure. Here, the lights are bright and the streets are bustling with people; here, you’ll find fragrant grilled buns, red osier-skewered meat, grilled pigeon, mutton lungs, and other local delicacies—their enticing aromas will tantalize your taste buds; here, Xinjiang’s signature dishes and specialty snacks from all over the country come together, creating a veritable culinary feast.

➤ 09:00–14:00 Visit the [Shache Royal Tombs], known to the world as the “Golden Royal Tombs.” Rooted in the old town of Shache for nearly 500 years, this royal mausoleum bears witness to the rise and fall of the Yarkent Khanate and is the final resting place of the Western Regions’ most romantic musical legend. It embodies both the solemn grandeur of ancient Silk Road royalty and the gentle, flowing poetry of the Twelve Muqam.
➤ 14:00–15:00 Enjoy lunch
➤ 15:00–19:00 Upon arrival in Kashgar, first obtain the [Border Pass], then head to the [Kashgar Old City]. This well-preserved, thousand-year-old city is a prime example of eco-friendly earthen architecture. The homes of the indigenous Uyghur people, built side by side along the slopes, form a vast residential landscape. Narrow alleys paved with hexagonal bricks wind through the dense cluster of houses, dotted with various craft workshops, shops, and restaurants. Children run and laugh in the alleys, the elderly relax in the shade in front of their homes, and young women sit at their doorsteps, embroidering floral hats while chatting and laughing.
Newly Popular Instagrammable Spots in Kashgar’s Old Town:
【Rainbow Alley】—a photo-worthy hotspot featuring eleven steps, symbolizing wholehearted devotion to one person.
【Cloth Bag Alley】The walls on both sides are adorned with a variety of cloth pouches; because they resemble cloth bags, people call it “Cloth Bag Alley.” It’s a photo spot brimming with artistic flair and ethnic charm.
➤ 19:00–20:00 PM Return to the hotel

Helpful Tips:
1. This area is rich in Western Region charm, and the people are warm and hospitable. However, avoid taking direct photos of people’s faces out of excitement, as locals may find this very impolite;

➤ 13:00–17:00 After lunch on your own, visit [Mustaq Glacier Park]: The majestic Mustaq Peak, standing at 7,546 meters above sea level, is covered in snow year-round and crisscrossed by glaciers, earning it the title of “Father of Ice Mountains.” The Mustag Glacier Park, situated at the foot of Mount Mustag, is the perfect place to get up close to this majestic peak and experience the allure of the glaciers. Upon entering the park, you’ll embark on a journey that will leave a lasting impression.
➤ 17:00–18:00 Continue on to Taxkorgan County. Along the way, pass through the [Tahman Wetlands], the largest basin and grassland in Taxkorgan. D9Day 9: Kashgar – Colorful Yadan Landforms – Junction of the Tianshan and Kunlun Mountains – Shell Mountain – Smuhana Village – Irkeshtam Port – West Pole Village – Kashgar [Approx. 600 km, 8 hours driving time]
Suggested Hotels: Licheng Biyuan Seman / Green Oriental / Qinivaque / Boman / Fushiliya / Meihao Lizhi / Manxin / Kailiade / Suoxing / Meihua / Bernalanou or similar (specific hotels and room types cannot be requested)

➤ 08:30–09:00 Breakfast at the hotel
➤ 09:30–12:00 Travel to [the junction of the Tianshan and Kunlun Mountains], a wide-open wetland located 5 km before entering the township. A river runs along the mountainside, and on the opposite bank stands the landmark marking the junction of the Tianshan and Kunlun Mountains. Wild Suoyang can be found here and in the sandy areas surrounding the villages upstream along the river.
➤12:30–13:00 [Guhai Ruins—Shell Mountain, also known as Eagle Beak Mountain]. Climbing up from the foot of the mountain, you’ll see exposed rocks of all sizes embedded with shells everywhere; the outlines and patterns of the shells are clearly visible. Countless shells—ranging in size from a copper coin to a thumb—have solidified together with salt- and alkali-rich silt, forming layer upon layer in a myriad of shapes. According to expert research, the Pamir Plateau was originally submerged beneath the ocean; due to tectonic shifts, it gradually rose to become land and eventually a plateau, as evidenced by these exposed shell fossils.
➤ 14:00–17:30 Lunch. Here, you can witness the last glimpse of the sunset in China each day—[Simuhana Village, Jigen Township, Wucha County, Xinjiang]—[Western Extremity Village]. This is China’s westernmost village, located right next to the [Irkeshtam Port of Entry], which connects China and Kyrgyzstan and served as a vital stop and thoroughfare on the ancient Silk Road. Along the road leading to the village, you’ll find China’s unique [stone stele]—a must-visit spot for photos, especially since you’ve made the trip all the way here.
➤ 17:00–20:00 Return to Kashgar and check into the hotel to rest;

Today’s Friendly Reminder:
1. Today’s drive will be relatively long, so please bring snacks and drinks;

D10Day 10: Kashgar – Back to the Warmth of Home
All good things must come to an end, but the memories of this wonderful journey will stay with you forever. Xinjiang was a dream—and you’ve finally made it come true. We’ll meet again someday!
➤ 08:00–09:00: We recommend having breakfast according to your hotel’s schedule.
You may arrange your time freely based on your flight schedule. As this wonderful vacation draws to a close, say goodbye to your lovely fellow travelers one by one, pack your bags, and prepare to return to the warm home you’ve missed so much. If you’re returning by plane or train, the driver will take you to the airport or train station according to your flight or train departure time!
A Warm Home
Friendly Reminder:
1. Dear Visitors, please be advised that according to regulations set by the Transport Administration Bureau, drivers of commercial vehicles in Xinjiang are limited to driving 600 kilometers per day. If this limit is exceeded, drivers face hefty fines ranging from 20,000 to 100,000 yuan or revocation of their business license. Therefore, for daily travel outside of your scheduled itinerary, we recommend that you arrange your own transportation, such as taxis or other suitable means. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
2. The itinerary schedule above is subject to change due to force majeure factors such as flight arrivals and departures, weather, and road conditions. Adjustments to the order of sightseeing will be made without affecting the overall itinerary or service standards. We appreciate your understanding!
Important Notes on Carpooling in Xinjiang: Please be sure to read carefully:
I. Vehicle Qualifications: Our agency strictly selects business-class vehicles with valid operating licenses. All vehicles have passed annual inspections and regular safety checks. We do not accept requests for specific vehicle models.
II. Regarding Travel Companions: This itinerary is a nationwide group tour for 2–6 people (minimum 2 participants; maximum 6). Due to the random nature of group formation, we cannot pre-screen travel companions based on age, gender, region, or other information. Special Note: Travelers with specific social preferences are advised to choose a customized private charter service.
III. Single Room Supplement Policy and Accommodation Arrangements:
Voluntary Room-Sharing Policy
Single male or female travelers who accept shared room arrangements will be exempt from the single room supplement. We guarantee only that roommates will be of the same gender; we do not guarantee specific details such as age, occupation, or region. For example, a single male traveler may be paired with male travelers of different age groups or the driver.
Explanation of Single Occupancy Fees
If you insist on single occupancy, you must pay the full single room supplement (the specific amount is subject to the itinerary quotation).
Accommodation Rules for Groups
For groups traveling together (e.g., families or groups) with an odd number of members, the travel agency will match room partners by gender based on the room-sharing resources available on the day of travel. For example: If a family of three is traveling and the only available room-sharing partner on that day is a single male traveler, the male family member will be required to share a room with him; those who object must pay the single room supplement.
Rules for Children Not Sharing Rooms
This tour does not allow travelers with children to share rooms. If you are traveling alone with a child, you must pay the single room supplement before departure.
IV. Regarding Accommodations: As Xinjiang is still a less developed region, hotels differ significantly from those in mainland China, especially in scenic areas. We can only guarantee that they are clean and sanitary. Even so, rooms are hard to come by during peak season. Most hotels do not have triple rooms.
V. Seat Rotation: This is a shared ride, not a private charter. To ensure fairness throughout the itinerary, seats must be rotated daily!
VI. Driver and Guide Services: This tour does not include a tour guide; only a driver is provided. Due to the driver’s educational background and the complex road conditions in Xinjiang’s mountainous regions, long-distance driving requires a high level of concentration. The driver will remain vigilant throughout the trip and cannot be distracted by excessive conversation or interaction with passengers. Your safety is our top priority. Please prepare your own itinerary in advance. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
VII. Regarding Pricing: Tour package prices are subject to dynamic factors such as booking timing, channel policies, the scale of resource procurement, and hotel availability. Reasonable price differences between different batches of orders are a normal market phenomenon, and price discrepancies will not be addressed. Thank you for your understanding.
Included in the Price:
1. Transportation: A spacious 7-seat commercial vehicle with a 1+1 seating configuration and valid operating license for the duration of the trip, including but not limited to models such as Yutong, Zhongtong, Yaxing, Ford T8, Higer, JAC Xingrui, and Ford Fushun. The seating layout consists of 1+1 individual seats. Specific vehicle models cannot be specified. Due to limited interior space, we recommend that each person bring no more than one suitcase under 28 inches in size.
2. Airport Transfers: Typically, a standard five-seater vehicle for groups of three or fewer, and a standard business van for groups of four or more;
3. Accommodations: 9 nights’ accommodation at the hotels listed in the itinerary, consisting of 8 nights at 4-diamond hotels and 1 night at a comfort-class hotel;
4. Admission Tickets: Admission to the Lop people’s village and shuttle bus; admission to Lake Bositen and shuttle bus; admission to the Kizilya Grand Canyon and self-drive tour; admission to the Flaming Spring; admission to the Shache Royal Tombs; admission to the Yotegan Ancient City; admission to White Sand Lake; admission to Lake Karakul; and admission to the Muztagh Glacier Park and shuttle bus.
5. Experiential Activities: Kucha Music and Dance—50 per person; Tajik Home Visit—30 per person (The above activities are included in the package; if they are not conducted due to weather or other reasons, refunds will be issued based on these rates).
DSLR Photography: 9 photos per person. If the flight is canceled due to weather or other reasons, a refund of 50 per person will be issued.
Drone and DSLR photography are value-added services provided by the driver, subject to ensuring safe driving conditions. The equipment consists of basic entry-level models, primarily intended for fun travel documentation, not professional travel photography or commercial photography services. The actual operating cost of this service is low (equipment depreciation and basic consumables amount to approximately 50 yuan per person), so it cannot be compared to professional photography results. If the service is not provided due to equipment failure, weather, road conditions, or other reasons, we will refund the fee at a rate of 50 yuan per person. We recommend that you also use your personal devices, such as smartphones, to capture memorable moments. The driver’s photography consists primarily of candid shots and does not include posing guidance, detailed photo editing, or specialized on-site photography services at scenic spots.
6. Driver: This tour does not include a tour guide; only a driver is provided. The travel agency covers the driver’s meals and accommodations. Due to limited educational background, the driver cannot provide professional commentary. Additionally, for safety reasons, the driver may be unable to interact with the group while focusing on driving. We ask for your understanding and encourage you to prepare your own travel itinerary in advance.
7. Meals: No main meals are included for the entire trip; only breakfast is provided (breakfast is not included in Kanas, Hemu, or Baihabah and must be covered at your own expense).
8. Insurance: The travel agency will purchase “Baoyou Wang Baoyou Changxin You” domestic travel insurance (exclusive to travel agencies) for travelers at its own expense. The maximum coverage for travel accident insurance is 200,000 yuan. The specific scope of claims and liability shall be subject to the terms of the insurance policy. We recommend that guests purchase additional insurance with higher coverage limits on their own!
Not Included: This tour package does not include a tour guide!
1. Meals: Main meals are at your own expense. (Tourists are not required to share the cost of the driver’s meals and accommodations.)
2. Additional expenses resulting from force majeure events such as traffic delays, strikes, weather conditions, flight issues, mechanical failures, flight cancellations, or schedule changes;
3. Personal expenses at hotels, including laundry, haircuts, phone calls, faxes, pay-per-view TV, beverages, tobacco, and alcohol; Expenses arising from the above two situations, as well as any costs not mentioned in the “Included” section, shall be borne by the traveler; our agency will not be held liable.
4. Optional Activities: Various recreational activities within scenic areas, such as horseback riding, river rafting, paragliding, helicopter tours, and others—including but not limited to the activities listed above—require travelers to participate with caution and fully consider the risks involved. These activities are not part of the travel agency’s services; should any accidents occur, travelers must resolve the matter directly with the scenic area management, and the travel agency assumes no liability arising therefrom!
Restrictions on Eligible Participants:
Our agency does not currently accept the following individuals for group tours:
1. Pregnant women
Due to the possibility of bumpy roads, altitude sickness, or limitations on emergency rescue capabilities during the trip, and to ensure the safety of both mother and child, pregnant women at any stage of pregnancy are not permitted to register for group tours.
2. Infants and toddlers under three years of age
We do not accept infants and toddlers who are unable to move independently.
3. Elderly travelers
• Ages 70–74: In addition to a health certificate, one immediate family member under the age of 60 must accompany the traveler for the entire trip;
• Ages 75 and above: Due to insurance coverage restrictions and high-risk emergency response requirements, we regret that we cannot accommodate travelers in this age group.
4. Minors Traveling Alone
• Individuals under the age of 18 must provide a letter of authorization from a legal guardian and be accompanied by at least one adult relative. Minors without a relative accompanying them will not be accepted.
5. Travelers with Disabilities:
• As the itinerary involves complex terrain such as high-altitude regions and mountainous areas, and includes activities such as extended periods of travel by vehicle and hiking, we are currently unable to accommodate travelers with limited mobility or those requiring special assistance for safety reasons. We appreciate your understanding.
6. Travelers from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and Foreign Nationals:
• Some itineraries involve border regions; prior confirmation is required to determine whether entry is permitted for foreign nationals.
7. Group Bookings of Six or More People:
We will allocate participants to two separate vehicles based on actual capacity (each vehicle constitutes an independent small group). Each vehicle may follow a different itinerary pace or make different stops along the way. Insisting on parallel travel may disrupt the experience plans of other groups and even cause delays to the entire itinerary. Therefore, we cannot guarantee coordinated travel between vehicles; we appreciate your understanding. If this is a concern, please book an exclusive group tour.
Special Notes:
• In accordance with relevant provisions of the *Tourism Law*, travelers are obligated to truthfully disclose their health status. Travelers shall bear full responsibility for any consequences resulting from the concealment of their health status. The travel agency reserves the right to terminate the contract without liability for compensation;
• These terms are formulated in accordance with the *Standards for Travel Agencies’ Services to Senior Citizens*, the *Minors Protection Law*, and insurance underwriting rules.
Safety Tips and Refund Policy for the Pamir Plateau Tour
To ensure a safe and smooth trip, please be sure to take note of the following important information:
1. High-Altitude Risk Warning
Altitude and Health Requirements
➤ The average elevation of the Pamir Plateau is over 4,000 meters, and some areas may exceed 4,500 meters.
➤ People who should avoid this trip: Those with cardiovascular or cerebrovascular diseases, severe respiratory diseases, anemia, or uncontrolled hypertension should carefully assess their physical condition.
➤ It is recommended to undergo a specialized medical examination before departure and to bring medication for altitude sickness (such as Rhodiola rosea or oxygen cylinders) as well as common first-aid supplies.
Safety Guidelines for the Trip
➤ Temperature fluctuations between day and night are extreme at high altitudes (the average daily temperature difference can reach 15°C). Please bring sufficient windproof and warm clothing, as well as sun protection gear (SPF 50+ sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat).
➤ Avoid strenuous physical activity. If you experience severe symptoms of altitude sickness, such as headaches or vomiting, please notify your tour guide immediately and discontinue the tour.
2. Refund Policy
If you need to leave the tour early for personal reasons, our agency will handle the fees according to the following principles: Refundable Fees
➤ Unused admission tickets: First-entry tickets to scenic areas (the difference will be refunded based on actual verification records).
➤ Unused Accommodations: Hotel room fees for nights not stayed (based on the hotel’s settlement statement).
Non-Refundable Fees
➤ Transportation Fees for the Entire Trip: Since vehicle fees must be prepaid, they are non-refundable after leaving the tour group.
The travel agency hereby solemnly declares: The high-altitude environment poses uncontrollable risks, and travelers are responsible for their own health. Signing the contract constitutes acceptance of the above terms. We wish you a safe journey!
Important Notes:
1. When making a reservation, please be sure to provide accurate and complete personal information and contact details to avoid booking errors that could affect your trip. The travel agency assumes no responsibility for any inaccuracies in the information provided due to the guest’s own reasons.
2. For complimentary activities included in the itinerary, no refunds will be issued if participation is not possible due to force majeure factors such as traffic or weather, or if the guest is unable to participate for personal reasons.
3. If you choose to leave the group during the trip, the uncompleted portion will be considered voluntarily forfeited. Only the unused portion of your package will be refunded; transportation fees are non-refundable.
4. If an attraction is closed due to force majeure during the trip, preventing normal visits, both parties will negotiate to cancel or replace the attraction based on actual circumstances, and any price difference will be refunded or collected on-site.
5. Guests holding any type of identification eligible for attraction discounts must inform the tour operator in advance and present their ID when purchasing tickets; specific discounts will be subject to the attraction’s policies on the day of visit.
6. Rules for calculating the number of travel days: If you are participating in a tour that begins and ends within China, the total number of days listed for this product includes the time for round-trip transportation (the outbound flight counts as 1 day, and the return flight counts as 1 day). Please confirm upon signing the contract that you fully understand these rules for calculating the number of travel days. If a misunderstanding regarding the number of travel days arises due to personal reasons, the travel agency reserves the right to reject unreasonable claims. (Travelers whose trip begins and ends within Xinjiang may disregard this clause.)
7. Dining: Cuisine in the Xinjiang region tends to be heavily seasoned, with spiciness slightly stronger than in other parts of mainland China. When ordering dishes or sampling local delicacies, we recommend eating small portions frequently. Meal Times: Due to a time difference of approximately 2 hours between Xinjiang and the mainland (though Beijing Time is still observed), breakfast is generally served around 8:00 a.m., lunch between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., and dinner around 8:00 p.m. Please bring your own snacks in advance.
8. As Xinjiang’s economy lags behind that of the mainland, there are significant differences between hotels of the same grade in Xinjiang and those on the mainland, as well as between accommodations in scenic areas and those in cities. Please be mentally prepared for this.
9. Itinerary Notes: The above itinerary may be subject to appropriate adjustments based on actual weather and temperature conditions on the day of travel.
10. To travel to Taxkorgan County, you must obtain a border pass in Kashgar City in advance. Please bring your mainland ID card and cooperate with the driver to complete the process; there is no fee for this.
